Turkey Hunting Tips

Everyone hopes to get their bird on opening day, but not everyone is lucky enough to get the first draw.

Don't get discouraged if you didn't there is still plenty of good hunting. Mid season is often more productive than opening day. After opening day the woods are less crowded and the gobblers are usually more receptive. In my experience turkeys can go from gobbling their heads off to complete silence and then back to gobbling hard. It's during this second peak of gobbling that hunting is usually best.
